However, some of them are limited to specific codes( Orion is BS and Eurocode only and SPACE GASS is Australian Code).
Don't forget there are lots of new software coming in the Structural analysis, MIDAS, SPACE GASS, Orion, CSC Fastrak. Prokon is good for connection design but a little difficult for doing frame analysis(think of old STAAD way of modelling where you have to input the coordinates and remember the beam number to input the properties and loads).
STAAD is very handy and easy to learn and you have lots of people who you can get advise of using it. I prefer using SAP2000 and ETABS for building structures but I have observed that ROBOT Structural has a very Good automated wind load options.
